With optibelt OPTIMAT belts, there is no need to keep different belt lengths in stock for all possible applications. The perforated finite optibelt OPTIMAT V-belts are connected to each other by a joint or plate connector.

optibelt OPTIMAT V-belts can therefore be easily adapted in length for all center distances. They can be supplied in any length, depending on the requirements of the application. This eliminates the need to store different standard belt lengths, making storage extremely simple and economical.

Top bending flexibility

optibelt OPTIMAT V-belts are pre-punched. This means that no special punching tools are required for splicing. The short form of fixed fasteners allows the belt the necessary freedom of movement and flexibility. The plate connectors are pre-bent so that no damaging bending forces can occur in the plates even with the maximum permissible curvature caused by the belt tension.

From a technical point of view, the hinged connectors are the better connection for the belts; as the plate connectors are subjected to a point load (upper part of the connection), they are less flexible than the hinged connectors. The low weight of the connectors reduces the development of practical centrifugal forces when the pulley is rotating at high belt speeds. This ensures smooth, shock- and impact-free running.
