Easy to install

The coupled shafts of the disk couplings must be precisely aligned. The two shells, which are bolted together, make the couplings very easy to install and are therefore ideal for shafts connected in series (e.g. transmission shafts).

Large shaft diameters

When coupling shafts with different diameters, we recommend placing the thicker shaft end on the diameter of the thinner one. If this is not possible, the model corresponding to the larger shaft diameter is used with a stepped bore (form B). Shell couplings can also be supplied with a protective jacket made of sheet steel (form AS; BS or CS). All shell couplings are designed with a keyway in accordance with DIN 6885/1.
